The average CenterPoint electric bill for a monthly usage of 908 kilowatt hours (kWh) as of October 27, 2022, is $157.21. This includes a monthly fixed charge of $10.84, a charge per kWh (flat rate) of $0.090260, a fuel charge per kWh of $0.038320, and a variable production charge of $0.004680.

The price per kWh with the fixed charge included is $0.17313, while the price per kWh without the fixed charge is $0.15569. This information is based on CenterPoint’s current approved electric tariffs, which can be found on their website.

  • Low-income households can get financial assistance for home heating needs through federally funded programs and crisis assistance offered by counties. Check with your local county office to see if you qualify.
