Additionally, payments can be made at any time of the day, seven days a week, including holidays, through EPE’s mobile-enabled web self-service website.
However, it’s important to note that there is a service fee of $1.95 for all payments up to $600.00, including those made through the Bill2Pay app. The service fee increases as the payment amount exceeds the $600.00 limit, with fees ranging from $3.90 to $8.00 per transaction. It’s important to provide certain information when making a payment, such as your El Paso Electric account number, payment amount, and payment method details, such as a credit/debit card number or checking account number.
It’s worth mentioning that the payments are processed by Bill2Pay, and the service fee for this payment processing service will appear on your credit card or bank statement. It’s important to remember that El Paso Electric does not receive any portion of the Bill2Pay service fee.

Customers can pay their bills 24/7 using a credit card, debit card, or electronic check. A service fee of $2.35 is charged for using this service, and El Paso Electric does not receive any portion of the fee. Accepted forms of payment include Visa, MasterCard, Discover, ATM/debit cards with a Pulse, Star, NYCE, or ACCEL logo, and electronic checks.
To use BillMatrix, customers need to provide their El Paso Electric account number, service address zip code, and payment information such as credit card or ATM/debit card number, expiration date, zip code of where the credit/debit card statement is mailed for payment, or checking account number and routing number. Payments made by 6 p.m. MT on a business day will post to the customer’s account the following business day. However, payments made on weekends, holidays, or after 6 p.m. MT on a business day will take two business days to post. Customers can make up to three payments in five days and no more than five payments in 30 days using BillMatrix.

El Paso Electric provides an online service that allows customers to manage their bills at any time. Upon signing up, you will only receive electronic bills for free. To register for this service, you will need to provide your El Paso Electric account number, mailing address zip code, and zip code for El Paso Electric. You will also need to provide your first and last name, home telephone number, home address, email address, and birth date. 5. Pay In Person
El Paso Electric offers over 100 authorized payment agencies for customers who prefer paying bills in person. These agents may charge a convenience fee, not collected by EPE. Payments to unauthorized agencies are at the customer’s risk, as EPE cannot accept responsibility for such failures.
CheckFree and Western Union-affiliated payment agents in Texas and New Mexico charge a convenience fee of $1.50 and $1.00, respectively. Customers can also pay their bills at any Walmart store in the US.

6. The Budget Billing Plan
The Budget Billing Plan lets you pay a scheduled amount each month based on estimated yearly consumption divided by twelve. You must have satisfactory credit history to be eligible.
Your account balance will accumulate a credit or debit balance based on your actual consumption. You must make a payment each month and failure to pay may remove you from the Plan.
EPE may adjust the monthly amount and collect a deposit not exceeding two months of estimated annual billing.

Most Common Price Rates for Residential Customers
